A habitação de 120 m2, em ruína, na Ruinha, uma das ruas mais antigas e estreitas de Montemor-o-Novo, foi o cenário de uma auto-construção de reabilitação. E é aqui que, agora, taipa com dois séculos se encontra com paredes, erigidas na mesma técnica, contemporâneas.

A fachada, os seus vãos e a sua chaminé, que dão para a Ruinha e que estão orientados a Poente, foram mantidos e reabilitados. Os vãos foram fechados com portões em ferro. Atrás desta fachada, criou-se um pátio que dilui o espaço público exterior e o privado interior, bem como a luz solar e os ventos. Atravessando o pátio, entra-se no espaço social da casa - a cozinha e a sala - a partir do qual se acede aos quartos e à casa de banho (esta última em tadelakt, do pavimento às paredes). Todos os espaços interiores têm luz natural, seja através de iluminação zenital, seja através de vãos nas fachadas. A Este, a casa, delimitada por uma fachada de taipa nova, é dotada de um jardim.
