A Estação Cooperativa surge da união de um coletivo de pessoas e de entidades para reativar o já degradado antigo bairro ferroviário da Casa Branca, com o objectivo de transformar o património público degradado num centro de programação cultural e de revitalização comunitária, . Assente num modelo de gestão territorial de base comunitária, o projeto promove a cultura, a preservação dos saberes tradicionais e a participação ativa das pessoas, demonstrando que a regeneração pode ser impulsionada de forma colaborativa.

No CRU Atelier, somos responsáveis pela coordenação técnica da reabilitação arquitetónica, onde desenvolvemos projetos de design participativo e lideramos ações de partilha de conhecimento e de autoconstrução. Atuamos como consultores técnicos na escolha de materiais compatíveis com a identidade do bairro e as exigências contemporâneas, sendo este também o lugar ideal para experimentar novas soluções técnicas e saber fazer, adaptadas às necessidades específicas do projeto, e ainda damos formação e ajudamos na obra.

O CRU atelier é também a ponte com a parceria com o estúdio BASEhabitat - Universidade de Arte de Linz, que anualmente traz alunos e professores para um estágio formativo em obra com duração de 3 meses, o que tem permitido impulsionar a reabilitação de vários edifícios.
